WARRIORS - 《迷失群星》（暂译）书评

七部曲开始了，看标题《破灭守则》暂译(The Broken Code)似乎要重回武士守则(The Warrior Code)，严冬的氛围也十分合适。我本来以为会讲像《族群的守则》(Code of the Clans)或是大迁徙之前的饥荒，然而事实只是失去星族(StarClan)的连接(Access Denied?)。虽然也有不少批评，但总的来说至少比《极夜无光》(Darkest Night)等要精彩。
在中国亚马逊（有简称中亚的）上买纸质书向来很难且很贵，于是我又一次选择了Google Play电子书，最近Warriors原版纸质书在中亚甚至销声匿迹了。和上次买的《极夜无光》也差不多，只是这次似乎多了poster的图片。
另外我已经悄然更新和去掉了很多暂译条目，依据的主要是贴吧，因为我不想入手中文6-4~6。
真·概要
还记得以前我所谓的概要，却占了读后感大部分篇幅的情况吗？~~现在让我们改变这种情况吧。~~另外现在单列预言来减少概要长度。
剧透警告！
在一个严寒的秃叶季(Leaf-bare)，月池(Moonpool)冻住了，巫医(Medicine Cat)失去了与星族的联系。只有影族(ShadowClan)族长(Leader)虎星♂(Tigerstar)二世和原雷族(ThunderClan)武士鸽翅♀(Dovewing)的儿子，年轻的影族巫医影爪暂译♂(Shadowpaw)收到一系列来自一只神秘公猫的消息，他自认为这些消息来自星族，但其他猫都不相信，除了他的父亲。其中最令人震惊的是关于守则破坏者暂译(Codebreaker)的警告，指出太多族群猫都违反了武士守则，应该受到惩罚。其中最早受到报应的是“伟大的”雷族族长黑莓星♂(Bramblestar)，他将一病不起，并且无药可救。不过那只神秘的猫提供了一种有效的治疗方法。影爪和虎星决定通知雷族，但不提到包含鸽翅在内的守则破坏者相关的事项。雷族猫大吃一惊，因为黑莓星此时确实已经得了怪病，他们怀疑影族怎么会知道他们的弱点。然而，更出人意料的是影爪提供的疗法——把黑莓星丢到冰天雪地里睡一觉，他的病会先恶化，之后就会痊愈。这遭到了雷族猫的严重怀疑，认为他们就是想谋杀黑莓星。但松鸦羽♂(Jayfeather)不经意间透露出其他族群已经抛开影族，想办法恢复星族的联系，令虎星极为愤怒。他决定不再透露任何影爪的消息。
原来，之前几次影爪公开他收到的消息，虎星宣称只有他儿子才能受到星族的指导，令很多其他族群的猫大为恼火，其他巫医也对消息来源不信任。为了尽快解决危机，他们决定瞒着影族，派武士用石头砸开冰冻的月池！当然这个行动并没有成功，似乎整个月池都是冰。同时，黑莓星已经奄奄一息，副族长(Deputy)同时也是黑莓星的伴侣的松鼠飞♀(Squirrelflight)毅然决定向影爪寻求帮助。然而，方法看起来并没有奏效，黑莓星很快就死了。虎星赶紧带着影爪，在雷族猫撕碎他们前逃离了现场。大家不得不相信，无法与星族联系意味着黑莓星不能复活了，只得守夜哀悼。然而离奇的是第二天黑莓星居然醒了，而且行为大变。在随后的紧急森林大会(Gathering)上，他用影爪早期公开的预言解读出守则破坏者的含义，并建议大家相互检举违反武士守则的行为，引发争论和抗议。
得知黑莓星的计划后，深谋远虑的阿树♂(Tree)预测族群将很快陷入混乱，劝伴侣紫罗兰光♀(Violetshine)和子女根爪暂译♂(Rootpaw)、松针爪♀(Needlepaw)（Jr，名字为纪念为解救紫罗兰光牺牲的松针尾♀(Needletail)）和他一起逃离天族(SkyClan)，遭到拒绝。作为折中，他们同意将来必要时可以这么做。继承了阿树看到灵魂猫的能力的根爪在湖边发现了游离的黑莓星的灵魂，后者请求他的帮忙。也就是说，现在的黑莓星是冒牌的。
此前，因为不务正业、行为奇怪的调解者(Mediator)阿树，根爪受到学徒(Apprentice)们的嘲笑，他在和他们的打斗中不小心掉进了湖里。路过的雷族巡逻队中的学徒鬃爪暂译♀(Bristlepaw)冒险救出了根爪，并带回雷族调养，根爪就开始仰慕鬃爪。然而鬃爪心里只有茎叶暂译♂(Stemleaf)，没有察觉根爪的意思，倒是茎叶指出她有了一个追随者。鬃爪因为救出根爪可以参加武士测评，但因为猎物稀缺扫兴归来，无缘成为武士。这是偏偏根爪突发奇想，因为天族猎物还比较丰富，他决定送一只田鼠给鬃爪来报答。结果可想而知，着实惹恼了鬃爪，因为她认为这是嘲笑她无能。终于鬃爪成为了武士鬃霜暂译♀(Bristlefrost)，她立刻向茎叶表白，才得知茎叶其实一直只是想和她做朋友，他有意于斑毛暂译♀(Spotfur)。伤心的鬃霜被过来猫，她的导师玫瑰瓣♀(Rosepetal)开导。之后在寻找治疗黑莓星的琉璃苣(Borage)时，斑毛救出了掉进湖里的鬃霜。但最终鬃霜似乎也没怎么想起根爪。

评论
这本书的情节还是很刺激的，最有趣的地方就在于有关蜡毛♂(Ashfur)的理论。这丰富了猫武的世界观，应该能写出更加精彩的续集。从7-2、7-3的简介里也能说明不少问题：黑莓星的要求使族群猫必须考虑忠于族群还是守则，并将扩大为战争。一些猫也许会被流放或自愿离开（比如阿树），他们也许会联合起来反抗“蜡毛的残暴统治”。这听起来怎么和暗尾♂(Darktail)也差不多，只不过这次更高明一些而已。守则破灭确实是一个很不错的主题。
但是，也有反对的声音。有人指出松鸦羽OOC，他不仅两次故意揭露蛾翅♀(Mothwing)的秘密，还无意间向虎星泄露了排斥影族的行动。真正的松鸦羽可不是这么愚蠢的！但另一种观点认为是叶池♀(Leafpool)的死以及失去与星族的联系使松鸦羽变得不理智。另外星族联系族群猫也不仅仅通过月半集会(Half-Moon Meeting)，一般猫也可以梦到星族。但其实也不能排除神秘的猫控制了星族与族群的联系的可能，当初黄牙♀(Yellowfang)也有这样的企图。

There is no cat like you in all the five Clans, Shadowpaw. Now great events are coming, and the Clans will experience far-reaching changes. And you, young apprentice—you will have an important part to play. Shadowpaw, your name will be remembered for as long as the Clans survive.
一只神秘的星族猫对影爪的高度评价，是蜡毛吗？
Alarmed, Shadowpaw looked up to find cloudy images in the sky, like scraps of softly glowing mist. For a few heartbeats, each of the scraps would almost solidify into the form of a cat, then fade and dissolve again into a shapeless blur.
也许预示着星族的联系即将被切断，或是守则破坏者的前奏。
His father’s dark brown tabby fur was ruffled, and blood was streaming from gashes along his side, but he sprang back undaunted into the fight, cuffing Bramblestar around the ears with both forepaws.

The Clans have forgotten the code. It has been broken time and time again, and because of the codebreakers, every Clan must pay a price. They must suffer.
在一次绝望的月半集会上影爪又听到了神秘的猫告诉他的消息，向他展示守则破坏者的名单：桠枝♀(Twigbranch)、狮焰♂(Lionblaze)、鸦羽♂(Crowfeather)、松鼠飞、蛾翅、阿树、松鸦羽、鸽翅……
The codebreakers are still among you. The code must always be respected. The ways of the Clans cannot be scattered to the wind. Soon, Shadowpaw, you will see the consequences that will befall the Clans if cats ignore the code. Bramblestar will get sick, and it will seem that nothing can cure him.
影爪偷偷访问月池时得知了黑莓星的问题，在路上他遇到了根爪，并帮助了根爪，获得了根爪的好感。
A red stain spread over the icy blue of the lake, the color intensifying until the surface was blazing with scarlet fire. The fire raged more fiercely, spreading out into long lines that followed the boundaries of the Clans, until each Clan was separated from the others by leaping walls of flame. Then the fire began to creep inward, greedily devouring the trees and undergrowth as it encroached on the camps.
又一个常见的幻象，族群被火吞没之类的。但神秘的猫应该不会警告影爪，也许是真星族？

无聊的找了一下，发现很多名字在正文中都完全没有出现，做了一个统计，以下仅列举常见的角色。
- 雷族：黄蜂条♂(Bumblestripe)、梅花落♀(Blossomfall)、暴云♂(Stormcloud)、鳍跃♂(Finleap)等8个
- 影族：焦毛♂(Scorchfur)、塔尖暂译♂(Spire)掌、空泉暂译♂(Hollowspring)、日束暂译♀(Sunbeam)等12个
- 天族：雀毛♂(Sparrowpelt)、麦吉弗♂(Macgyver)、哈利溪♂(Harrybrook)、砂鼻♂(Sandynose)、兔跃暂译♂(Rabbitleap)、薄荷毛♀(Mintfur)、荨麻斑♂(Nettlesplash)、微云♀(Tinycloud)等14个（我也不知道为什么这些名字以前都用过；除幼崽(Kit)外共30个）
- 风族(WindClan)：只有兔星♂(Harestar)、鸦羽、隼飞♂(Kestrelflight)、夜云♀(Nightcloud)、风皮♂(Breezepelt)、云雀翅♀(Larkwing)、石楠尾♀(Heathertail)出现
- 河族(RiverClan)：只有雾星♀(Mistystar)、芦苇须♂(Reedwhisker)、蛾翅、柳光♀(Willowshine)、锦葵鼻♂(Mallownose)、卷羽♀(Curlfeather)、藓毛♀(Mosspelt)出现
可见风族和河族只有不到半数出现，万年幽灵甲虫须♂(Beetlewhisker)还在那里。
阿树专题
作为一个外来者，阿树了解各种生活的优劣，能做出比族群猫更加明智的决策。
Wrenkit was the only one of Bellaleaf’s litter who’d survived. The sadness had been felt across the whole Clan, and it had only been made worse when Tree insisted that the two unnamed kits who had died were still close to Wrenkit, watching over her. Wrenkit had been terrified, and the rest of the Clan had been annoyed with Tree.
阿树看到灵魂猫受到天族的反感，根爪也讨厌他父亲的奇怪。
I raised you to think for yourself. I don’t want you just going along blindly with the ways of the Clan. They’re good ways, but they’re not the answer to everything.
阿树认为要超越族群的生活方式，不为其所限制，主要与他出身独行猫(Loners)有关。
The way of the warrior is not the only way, and you should be grateful for the chance to see that. There’s more to life than fighting and showing yourself off as a strong cat. It’s not always about who is the biggest and bravest.
仍是这个话题，听起来还是挺有道理的。
But can we promise, as a family, that we’ll keep our eyes open? If things get bad in the Clans, we’ll go—with SkyClan or without them.

黑莓星是冒牌的证据
At the touch, a strange sensation shot through Shadowpaw, as if claws were gripping him inside, twisting his belly and chilling his spine like the icy leaf-bare wind.
影爪感觉黑莓星不太正常。
It was as though some kind of dark shadow was hanging over Bramblestar, yet no shadows lay in the clearing.

黑莓星指责松鼠飞软弱，让松鼠飞难以置信，但最终黑莓星还是找了个借口搪塞过去了。此时黑莓星应该已经被部分占据了。
Mistystar, you are a Clan leader. You know as well as I do that what passes between us and StarClan is not to be spoken of to any cat. StarClan restored me, and that’s all that matters, surely. And why wouldn’t they? I’m a cat who has always honored the warrior code. Why are you questioning me?

现在很多人都认为是蜡毛占据了黑莓星的身体，我确实找到了很多证据。
Ash fluttered in the sky, swirling around him and settling in tiny gray flakes on his pelt.
这是影爪看到黑莓星和虎星打斗前看到的，灰烬(Ash)即拼出蜡毛的前缀，这很常见。我还记得，以前有拼出蛾翅（鹰霜♂(Hawkfrost)伪造及叶池得知真相）、黑莓掌♂(Brambleclaw)（使火星♂(Firestar)决定让他当副族长）、鸦羽（探索三剑客出身）等经典片段。

神秘的声音告诉影爪黑莓星将受到惩罚时，对黑莓星的嘲讽，可以理解为蜡毛对黑莓星的轻蔑。

Squirrelflight pressed herself against him and twined her tail with his. She was purring too hard to reply.
这才是蜡毛附体最神奇的地方。（来自贴吧的巧妙解释）蜡毛：就算得不到松鼠飞的心，我也得到了你的身体。
《松鼠飞的希望》终极剧透
Every cat knew that not many moons had passed since Squirrelflight and Leafpool had been gravely injured in a rockslide. Leafpool had died, and Squirrelflight had nearly died, her spirit walking in StarClan as her body healed. In part, it was her love for Bramblestar, and his for her, that had drawn her back into the living world.
这里剧透了在滑坡(rockslide)中松鼠飞和叶池重伤，叶池随即死去，但松鼠飞只是暂时在星族行走（又是像虎星二世一样的特例）。正是她对黑莓星的爱使她得以复活。太扯了！也不用去看《松鼠飞的希望》暂译(Squirrelflight’s Hope)了。
《褐皮的族群》暂译(Tawnypelt’s Clan)剧透
Shadowpaw longed to comfort her, remembering how she had taken him to the Tribe of Rushing Water in the hope that they might cure his seizures.
这里提到的褐皮♀(Tawnypelt)带影爪前往急水部落(The Tribe of Rushing Water)，希望治愈他的癫痫。这部分属于和《迷失群星》暂译(Lost Stars)同时出版的短篇小说集中的《褐皮的族群》。
首次不通过武士测评的情况
You haven’t done anything wrong, Bristlepaw, but I can’t pass you this time, not without watching you hunt and actually capture prey.
这也不太合理，当初鸽翅可也什么都没抓到，但照样找了个理由通过，说她救了冰云♀(Icecloud)，捕猎问题一笔勾销。也许是三力量的加成？
蛾翅改变了对星族的不信仰
I believe StarClan exists, but I don’t know that their intentions are good, or that we always benefit from their “guidance.”
在松鸦羽故意揭露她不相信星族的秘密之后，她宣称相信星族存在，但怀疑星族的意图不是总是好的。

StarClan’s messages are all around us, in everything we see. Look at the patterns in the frost as they spread across the pool. The ice is thick at the edges, but thinner as you look out toward the center. That must mean that times are hard for the Clans right now, but this leaf-bare will be over soon, and things will get back to normal.
在无法联系星族的情况下，斑愿♀(Frecklewish)提出建议，蛾翅表示赞同，但主流巫医反对。我想说这其实很类似急水部落。
